Two George weekend updates in a row for you because interesting things don't usually happen throughout the week for us.  We live for weekends.  It was a long weekend thanks to Memorial Day so we took advantage and drove off to the Salt Flats on Saturday, way out near the Nevada border.  Prepared with kites and hot dogs, we got there around 5 pm to start enjoying the fun.  Of course, things don't always work out as planned.  The flats were so wet that we couldn't really enjoy them the way we wanted to.  It was hardly windy, so we didn't get to use the kite either.  However, when you have the right company, you never really miss out on fun.

We spent a lot of our time there filming for our upcoming video debut.  We are filming a music video to a song that I had never heard until we started this project.  I hope I get this right...it's called "The Way" by Ariana Grande.  I'll probably post the video here within the next couple of weeks.  And I'll let you know now, it's absolutely ridiculous, and it's supposed to be.

For Memorial Day, we slept in (which was so great) and then watched some Parks and Rec before my siblings came over for a picnic.  I didn't get out of my pajamas until noon, which I think is good for the soul every once in a while.  Not that I want to get used to doing that either, because it also encourages me to be lazy.  When my siblings showed up, we got the grill ready and started making the hot dogs.  So much bad eating yesterday!  It was awful!  But I spent some time with my sister Isabel and my cousin Jeannette and we got some much needed girl talk in.  And that part was great.

I felt so big and bloated after the picnic and like I needed to just walk it off.  So I suggested a hike.  So hike we did!  And my awesome little sister Ashley came along.  I love that she loves outdoorsy stuff. We went up the canyon to Stewart Falls and the hike was beautiful!    I definitely want to do that again sometime this summer.  As soon as we got done with the hike, we went to our crossfit class and I almost regretted that hike.  My legs were dying!  But I decided that you can never really regret a workout.

This post is all over the place, so I hope it made sense!  Here are some more pics of our weekend.

I was laughing really hard here because Ashley had just fallen over.  Great big sister, right?

And there you have it!  A great beginning to Summer!
